PLEASE READ :)
My name is Ignacy, I am 21 years old, I live in Poland and I am saving money for my ATPL. For now I earned around 20k€ and put everything into my flying training. Now, after completing ATPL theory I am saving for the remaining MEPL, IR and CPL, still around 20k€ more. Please if you like my work, I would be eternally grateful for helping me make my dreams come true by donating few cents:). On the right side there should be a PayPal or "Buy Me a Coffee" option. SZD-30 PIRAT
Pirat is a Polish 15 meter class glider constructed of wood, which first flew in 1966, more than 800 were built. There are still around 200 airworthy Pirats just in Poland. It is usually a first single seater glider for many pilots. It has a very safe flight characteristics and a glide ratio of 31.
After many glue failures in the wooden joints, bulletin was issued which reduced the Vne to 195 km/h and aerobatic flights were prohibited, before Pirat was certified to perform full aerobatics.
Installation:
Download RAR file and move it to Community folder (for steam \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\Packages\Community) and unzip it there (unpack to "yanosik-pirat\" command). You should now have main folder "yanosik-pirat" inside community folder.
1)You must realese parking brake before take off ;)
2)If that is your first glider - to start winch start or aerotow you must make full left-right rudder move
That's a V1.0 released to public, I know the model is not great but I tried my best spending something between 400 to 500 hours on it learning everything from the basics as I had never knew anything about game asset creation... Of course I am not gonna leave the project without some issues being fixed.
The V1.0 comes with 11 skins from 5 countries, pick your favourite and take a fly!
To do:
- add yaw string
- add pilot to cockpit
- add e-variometer as an hideable option
- add radio, feg. old style Becker
- some speed polar adjustments - DONE V1.1
- highlighted controls in cockpit flash
- add more sounds
- add option to swap instruments from metric to imperial

I have a question regarding the texture that makes the grass of the main gages in the cockpit reflect the light that sometimes it becomes like a white mist when hit by more light.
I wonder if you know what causes it because I think this is the same effect that is on the Asobo's DG-1001e canopy glass. Maybe we could fix them both...
And as someone else said... a pilot from external view would be nice but since you said you have little time I don't expect it being possible soon.
Thank you for this nice glider!

The roll rate with and without rudder feels pretty spot on based on what I remember from flying the real thing and that really makes me happy 😊
I found few modelling quirks - do you think we could fix these?
1. Could we add the pilot in external views?
2. Altimeter doesn't go below zero and stops at zero when changing the scale with knob
3. Magnetic compass turns in opposite direction and numbers on magnetic compass are in opposite direction
4. I absolutely love the magnetic compass tilting sideways as well as up and down, would it also be possible to make it stop turning once it reaches maximum tilt angle or when flying upside down?
